Let's just right into the meat of it...fishin! Spent this past weekend camping with the family in Elkins. Was mainly a hangin with the wife and kids weekend (an awesome way to spend a weekend by the way!)but did get to spend about an hour fishing the stream. This stream is heavily stocked and heavily fished...till the stock truck stops running and all the yahoos go away. But it holds some good fish all year long...and caught some nice ones right in the campground.
Met some nice folks in the campsite next to ours. Had some kids the same age as ours so they got to play together. The father was trying to get back into fly fishing and we talked trout all weekend.

Now don't you just love it when you sound and look like you know what you are doing??? The father was looking to head to the stream and do some fly fishin...I was busy with the kids but could see he was struggling with getting the leader and tippet put together. I asked if he needed a little help and he said "gladly!" Now we put his rig together and he didn't have a huge fly selection and he asked what I thought he should throw. i saw some small yellow mayflies earlier so I gave him a few from my box to fish. He and his boy headed down to the stream and 3rd cast hooked up. They pulled in a few more(the father would set the hook and then let his boy reel it in) in the 15 min they fished before it got too dark.

Later at the campfire he thanked me for the flies and advice. He told his boy that it was good to talk to a "real fly fisherman"...hehe.

I don't know if any of my fishin buddies would call me that. :P

Oh...almost forgot. We have been going up to this campground a couple of times each year. this year my wife said we should get a permanent spot and put a camper on it. Heck ya..I gots me a feesh camp now!!!
